Life and Death

Life is the union and conjuncture between intellect, soul and body, while death is not destruction of these elements so conjured, but the dissolution of their inter-relationship; for they are all saved through and in God, even after their dissolution

Evening prayers

I attended the evening prayers in different orthodox churches. They call it the sandhya namaskaram. The experience was different in different churches.

Parumala church: It is loosing its sanctity. The place was so peaceful and pious a decade ago when the old church was in place. The Orthodoxy is missing in the new church. The mike is too loud. The response by the believers is feeble. Lighting candle was not allowed on the Perunal days!!

Thumpamon Church: The most serene and holy madbaha I have ever seen. No doubt Parumala thirumeni called it the kochu Jerusalem. The mike is too loud . Infact they have used speakers used for out door inside the church!!

Mar Elia chapel, Sasthamkota: The church is a master piece. The surrounding is ideal for a meditation. The prayers have a touch of class. You really feel like going to heaven, hearing the chants of the believers, responding to the pleading sound of the priest s of Mt Horeb Ashram.Bold
